3rd Shift Hours: M-F 10:00PM - 6:30AM
15% shift differential 
 
Come join our team in Milwaukee, WI. We are expanding our state of the art Milwaukee site to provide R&D, manufacturing and operations support for catalog and custom TheraPure components. 

How will you make an impact?

  • Providing supervision, technical and administrative leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to production staff.
  • Recruit and train new staff members.
  • Develop employees by providing professional development, training and documentation of training effectiveness.
What will you do?
  • Schedule, execute, delegate and prioritize work assignments to meet the work schedule. Follow, monitor, and improve standard safety practices and procedures
  • Promptly communicate, manufacturing department related updates to Production Manager.
  • Troubleshoot problems and continuous improvement. Provide day-to-day guidance and training to staff on continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
  • Recognize and rectify errors, omissions, and deficiencies as indicated in protocols, methods, standard operating procedures, or good manufacturing practice.
  • Effectively transition work assignments between shifts. Record status of assignments.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance program to ensure the cleaning of the equipment, instruments and manufacturing area.
  • Identify, evaluate and write capital appropriation for new equipment.
  • Coordinate scale-up project on new and modified products. Provide equipment selection, safety recommendation and justification. Work on qualification of equipment as required.
  • Remain technically competent and keep current with the advancement in the industry and Provide technical expertise to external and internal customers, including site leadership.
  • The position is also responsible for any other duties apparent or assigned.
How will you get here?
Education
  •  Minimum BS degree (MS degree preferred) in a Science related area of study (Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred)
Experience
  • Six years of demonstrated experience with large scale manufacturing of related product, involving organic chemical synthesis and purification.
  • Experienced in scheduling, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in analytical instrumentation (HPLC, NMR) and kilogram scale chemical production equipment. Comfortable in handling potentially hazardous/bio-hazardous substances.
  • Ability to work on complex problems of diverse scope, and exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies
  • Proficiency in presentations and excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of analytical data, proficiency in troubleshooting, capability in method development
  • Must be available to work overtime, including weekends as production schedule warrants
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stoop, stand, bend, kneel, crouch and crawl. Also use hands to finger, handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, and controls.
  • frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must understand and comply with RCRA Standards by successfully completing initial training for Hazardous Waste Handling within 90 days of date of hire, comply with standards, and annual training.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus and differentiate between basic colors.
