What will you do?
 
Job Purpose:
  • Assist Manufacturing Department in co-ordination of all production activities to meet manufacturing goals through efficient use of resources (i.e. manpower, materials, machines and methodologies) in a safe and healthy working environment.  
 
Responsibilities and Authorities:
  • Review and identify procedural/ process gaps across the Manufacturing workflow.
  • Drafting of procedures and work instructions for Manufacturing operations and get buy-in from the Engineering Department.
  • Participate or lead in the development of new manufacturing and quality control processes.
  • Participate in improvement programs (e.g. cost reduction, capacity improvement, work efficiency improvement, etc.)
  • Solicit engineering support to address process and equipment issues.
  • Conduct or aid investigations related to mis-operations in the production shop-floor.
  • Visual management deployment and generate operation process performance dashboards.
  • Lead Optimization Projects such as:
  • Conduct Material Flow & Man Motion Study for optimized layout design;
  • Process Mapping & Value Stream Mapping for operation process improvement opportunity identification;
  • Capacity Modelling / Line Balancing.
 
Qualification:
  • Diploma in any engineering discipline, preferably with knowledge in industrial engineering.
 
 
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Capacity planning and industrial engineering experience will be an advantage
 
Other Essential Attributes / Competencies:
  • Team player with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Able to work under pressure and make sound decision independently.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good planning and organizing skills, with a clear understanding of constraint management and resource planning. 
  • Good interpersonal skill and able to work well with all levels, including people from other departments.
