Local Engineering Team Leader (Lead: 4~5 members)
- Manage a team with manufacturing development, process and quality engineers.
- Act as a local project leader for manufacturing test; preparation, creation & management of 3rd party development as well as implementation of test equipment and process, according to project schedule requirements.
- Manage the local budgeting, implementation, release and support of the test development within NPI projects to ensure optimal test-coverage, programmability and adjustability by working closely with a cross functional R&D team and global manufacturers.
- Assign resources to support Global R&D projects.
- Day to day production problem resolving.
Development of the Manufacturing Test system for global manufacturing.
- Work with U.S (Massachusetts) engineering to optimize the test requirements for a new and unique product to achieve the lowest possible “defect escape rate” for the lowest integral test costs.
- Establish validation plans, manage the execution and create the compliant validation records for test designs and test deployments.
- Support product and process implementation/changes between global manufacturers, 3rd party Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and multiple R&D teams.
- Create test/programming equipment planning (of events / activities) and maintain test system documentations, maintaining associated regulation compliance and controls.
- Research, evaluate, benchmark, and recommend new technologies related to testing.
- Utilize Signify information management systems to control bill of materials, manage engineering change orders, and interface to our supply chain process.
- Capture and analyze product/process data; driving new feature implementation and continuous improvement in design, manufacturing process and test.
You are…
- A Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- Education and/or experience with design for manufacturing test.
- 3+ years of experience with programming, debugging and testing in LabVIEW, TestStand, (PythonC or Visual Basic—experience preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with DMMs, DAQ, oscilloscopes, power sources, power meters, relays.
- 3+ years of experience with communication protocols like Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, RS232, RS485.
- 5+ years of experience with engineering team management.
- Knowledge of lighting technologies and protocols like KiNET, DMX, & RDM preferred.
- Able to translate development needs into hardware and software system requirements
- Experience in extracting and manipulating data from databases.
- Experienced with digital electronic designs with hardware and software functions.
- Previous experience conducting and participating in code and schematic reviews.
- Comfortable setting up and using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Highly organized with strong interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and cooperatively with internal departments, contract manufacturers, and external suppliers to develop and deliver solutions
- Energized and passionate problem solver who can set goals and priorities with personal commitment to deliver quality results.
- Willing to travel (around 30%).
