Position Objective

• Work with factories to establish a Right First Time Approach (Prevention vs Correction).
• Work with factories to establish LEAN manufacturing.
• Support Factory on continuous improvement program to implement correct production and quality process controls.
• Support factories through training programs on Root Cause Analysis and actionable/measureable corrective/preventative action planning.
• Report on factory performance - CAPs, carryout risk analysis of supply vendors and follow through on corrective action plans where required.
• Support and advice Production team in new factory evaluations.
• Focus on Factory Tier Report and prioritization of orange/red tiered factories designated as important to RLC to ensure these facilities achieve green/yellow rating

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site evaluations including capability, capacity and production efficiency assessments
• Manage and follow through of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan’s.
• Training of vendors and factories: Right First Time approach, LEAN, continuous improvement, TQM, Risk Assessment, Pre-production processes.
• Implementation of LEAN manufacturing in factories.
• Implementation of TQM philosophy in factories.
• Observe, evaluate and help correct Factory internal Process controls.
• Implementation of Best practices and SOP’s for process and control.
• Implementation of Risk Assessment process in factories.
• Implementation and support of Pre-production process in factories.
• Implementation of Defect Trending within factories.
• Investigate issues or callouts to identify root cause and corrective/preventative action plans turning these into case studies for broader learning purpose.

Job Requirements:

Diploma holder in Industrial Engineering

10-12 years’ relevant working experience of factory technical evaluation and capability, LEAN manufacturing, Total Quality Management, Continuous improvement, Corrective Action Plan management, Risk Assessment

Fluent in English speaking and writing.

Frequent travel in China is required.
