Job Description & Summary

Experience Design Managers play a key role in PwC – they are passionate about creating ground-breaking work focused on solving user problems and exceeding business expectations.

As a team leader, you will lead Experience designers and apply user-centred methodologies to solve complex business problems, working from proposal development, research, concept ideation, information architecture, interactive design through to user testing. You will already be competent in designing for different formats from desktop to mobile and social.

We’re not looking just for someone who has the skills and experiences, but also someone who can communicate and collaborate with colleagues in creative, consumer insights, video, strategy, operations and technology development on projects across many industry sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of up to 5 people, estimating and planning projects
• Work collaboratively with UX designers, art directors, copywriters, developers and business analysts to develop user experience solutions in an agile project delivery
• Lead digital experience audits of website, mobile apps for usability, content & brand and visual design
• Develop user personas and journeys based on primary & secondary research, and create experience maps to capture key opportunities
• Lead interactive design, information architecture/navigation to define the high level experience
• Create sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes that represent information hierarchy and user flows
• Lead user testing sessions, identifying opportunities to improve user experience and presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders
• Facilitate workshops using design thinking methodology
• Helping to identify and document business requirements
• Lead stakeholder interviews including question preparation and collating findings
• Solve problems by applying UX thinking, logic and pragmatism
• Challenge established thinking and championing new ideas to stakeholders in the business
• Working with other senior UX designers to develop strategic omni-channel proposals and roadmaps for their delivery
• Presenting design solutions to delivery teams and wider groups of business stakeholders

  Essential Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Experience of developing digital interfaces and experiences across different connected devices
• You will be someone who puts rigor into everything you touch to ensure it is comprehensive
• Knowledge of tools and best practice in UX (e.g. human centred design, responsive design)
• Worked with cross-functional teams effectively in everyday tasks
• Strong business acumen; ability to understand concepts and interpret client/user needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong competence in at least one of: Axure, Visio, Omnigraffle, Sketch, Flinto, InVision
• Capable in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Ability to conduct business meetings in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)

  Bonus Skills

• Experience working in an agile or iterative process
• Experience working in consultancy or agency
• Practical grasp of interaction design issues, the continually evolving vocabulary of interaction and UI design, and an ability to explain this simply to others
• Knowledge of motion design (in specific relation to transitions) as well as visual/ interactive/ interface design trends
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions
• A familiarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of technologies
