Purpose of the Position:

Work with C-level executives to develop strategies, and execute on cross-functional strategic projects that drive growth and digital transformation. Immediate focus is on leading one of the content creation streams (China AI/ Healthcare/ Fintech) within , which is a new business vertical led by the Strategy and Special Projects team at South China Morning Post.SCMP Research.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop overall strategy of the Group, as well as strategies of different lines of businesses and functions

• Execute on projects with strategic importance (i.e. incubating new products/ businesses), responsible for project management, execution, and coordination across business lines, functions and external parties
• Codify learnings from various projects and establish SCMP’s thought leadership in the industry
• Build SCMP Research’s reach, impact, and reputation, and contribute to achieve annual operational and financial goals 
• Lead the China Healthcare content creation stream under SCMP Research, and build an engaged community for people interested in the China Healthcare industry

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in consulting firms, investment banks, research companies, or the strategy/ business development/ research teams within large corporations
• Experience in researching and work planning 
• Native in English with exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Track record of effectively and confidently interacting with senior executives
• Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with other teams
• Attentive to details, organized, resourceful, entrepreneurial, is a fast learner and have good business acumen
• Existing knowledge and network in the China and/ or global AI/ Healthcare/ Fintech industry preferred, but not required

Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
