We are currently looking for a Manager, Security (Technical Services) to provide strategic direction and tactical management to ensure the security of guest, staff. Serves as an adviser on these matters to other Corporate officers and all properties. The Successful Candidate will coordinate an ongoing review of existing security programmes, whilst initiating development of new programmes as required. He/ She will also be responsible for staying apprised of new security-related technology and monitoring the political environment in all countries which may affect the safety and security of our guests, employees and company’s assets.
As the Manager, Security (Technical Services), we will rely on you to:
- Ensuring that the strategic development of the Shangri-La Group’s Internet protocol (IP) CCTV camera systems and all associated security surveillance, alarms and communications infrastructure are in line with business requirements.
- Conducting systems reviews, surveys, assessments and audits to determine where more cost effective technical solutions and interventions could be deployed to resolve hotel security issues.
- Identifying and driving the implementation of cloud solutions for CCTV data storage amongst specified hotel clusters.
- Providing training and advice for hotel Directors of Security in all matters relating to technical elements of security systems.
- Overseeing and monitoring the installation of all technical components relating to the security systems for all new hotel projects
- Conducting incident trend analysis using extracted data from the Group’s Security and Safety Reporting System and also the Group’s Security and Safety Audit System.
- Develop and enhance the existing security audit system’s database (MS Access) and configure the database for Group wide access.
- Undertaking any other technical related assignments as and when directed by the Director of Corporate Security.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CCTV and security-related systems installation and upgrades.
- Excellent working knowledge of CCTV analytics and Internet Protocol camera technology. Conversant with digitized data storage technology and cloud-based computing.
- Proficient in the use of database software such as MS Excel and programming knowledge of MS Access.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese in order to effectively support properties based in China and SE Asia.
- Supporting China and SE Asia properties, proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
- Experience of building a Security Command Centre will be an advantage
- Some security audit experience is preferred.
- Open to travel.
