Job Description
Responsibilities:
To provide specialist advice and lead the team on quality assurance and testing, across multiple projects/systems and to deliver to business needs including:
- Understand the testing effort by analysing the requirements of projects.
- Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
- Organize the testing kick-off meeting
- Define the testing strategy
- Arrange test resources with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation as well as leveraging the Regional Service centre TCOE
- Identify Training requirements and forward it to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Testing Services (Technical and Soft skills).
- Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
- Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup.
- Assign task to all engaged testing resources and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.
- Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artefacts is documented and maintained.
- Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for quality assurance and testing as per standards defined by the organization.
- Check / Review the Quality Control and Test Cases documents.
- Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
- Escalate the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, Resources) to Project Manager
- Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the Client
- Attend the regular client call and discuss the weekly status with the client.
- Communication with the Business
- Act as the single point of contact between Development and Testers.
- Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
- Review various reports prepared by Test engineers.
- Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
- Prepares / updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field
- Strong analytical capability and skills (i.e. - database architecture design, business intelligence application configuration, MIS report development, etc.)
- Ability to make insightful, successful decisions
- Competent delivering results through ownership & drive
- The ability to think creatively and ensure services meets stakeholder needs and are fit for purpose.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to gather, synthesise and analyse data and draw logical conclusions
- Well organised and results-driven individual.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Fluent in Cantonese and English
