Applications are invited for the following post in the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development, which is located in the Hong Kong Science Park.
Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development
Manager (PR0099/20-21)
The appointee will report to the Director and the Assistant Director of the Centre and is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the Centre.
Job Duties:
- To formulate and implement policies and procedures;
- To plan and undertake projects under minimal supervision;
- To prepare reports, proposals and other correspondences;
- To assist the Director and his delegates in providing administrative and secretarial support to the operation of the Centre and related matters;
- To liaise with internal and external parties on various matters;
- To support the operation of the Centre, including research grants, intellectual property, human resources and financial issues; and
- To undertake any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably a postgraduate qualification;
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience with not less than 5 years at supervisory level in research institutes or research companies. Experience in similar service environment would be preferred;
- An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities; and
- Ability to lead a team and handle various tasks independently.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
