Licensing Department invites qualified candidate to join as a Manager to undertake a more substantial role in gatekeeping our securities and futures industry. The successful candidates will be assigned to one of the portfolio teams which is supervised by an Associate Director or a Senior Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Applying the outcome and risk-based approach when handling corporate and individual licensing applications;
• Handling fit and proper issues of intermediaries and licensed individuals, including those arising from complaints and notifications;
• Dealing with enquiries on licensing matters;
• Assisting his or her team head to supervise junior team members;
• Identifying areas to enhance the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the Licensing Department; and
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with market participants and colleagues within the SFC.  

Requirements:

• University degree and/or professional qualification preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance or Law;
• A minimum of five years’ relevant working experience;
• Good knowledge of the licensing requirements and the operations of the securities and futures market practices;
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills;
• Hardworking, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity; and
• Good writing and presentation skills are essential for the position.
