The HKUST Business School has been recognized as a premier education center for international business and management education. The HKUST MBA Programs Office is searching for a capable and dynamic individual to take up the position of Manager in Career and Alumni Development team. The appointee will drive and deliver a wide range of corporate development initiatives to build and develop corporate partnership across different industries, and create more internship and graduate placement opportunities for MBA students and graduates. He/She will be involved in formulating and implementing alumni engagement projects to strengthen the relationship of HKUST MBA community. The appointee will focus on the following areas:
- Corporate and Employer Outreach: identify and develop new corporate partnership opportunities in Hong Kong and beyond to provide job opportunities for students.
- Alumni Relationship: reach out for alumni proactively and build bonding with the MBA community to explore different alumni-student engagement activities. Contribute towards student learning experience and enhance sense of belongings of alumni.
- Student Engagement: draw on the insights and feedback from corporate partners, share information with MBA students about job opportunities to prepare them for job interview and placement.
- Project Management: plan and communicate with different parties to manage projects including but not limited to alumni day, business insights sharing, career fair and career trek. Maintain job boards, CRM system, corporate and alumni communication materials, on regular and ad-hoc base.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support ad-hoc projects and/or administrative tasks according to seasonal team needs.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with preferably 7 years of post-qualification work experience. Candidates with experience in B2B business development, partnership development, membership acquisition or recruiting in industries of financial services, technology or other emerging segments are highly desirable. Strong business acumen with a can-do attitude is essential. Passion in education industry will be a plus. The ideal candidate should be a results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills. He/She should be able to communicate with senior executives and young professionals. To qualify, an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Team, OneDrive, Sway, PowerPoint, Excel) is required. Working outside normal office hours and on occasional Saturdays will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
