The Incubation and Acceleration Programmes (“Programmes”) of Hong Kong Science & Technologies Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”), are initiatives to further support the development of selected tenant companies through a combination of business and corporate development, offered by HKSTP and industry experts in various fields. Incubation programmes help technology startups turn their innovative ideas into marketable products and solutions while our Acceleration programme, also known as Leading Enterprises Acceleration Programme (“LEAP”), is an ultra-tailored programme to turn elite startups into regional or global tech giants and prepares them for eventual IPO or M&A. 

We are recruiting a finance professional with great potential to support the team management and growing portfolio of our Programmes. Below sets out the descriptions of the job and the requirements.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Support team management by:
• Driving budget control and spending initiatives of the Programmes.
• Driving operation efficiency, continuous process improvement and risk management of the team.
• Assisting admission process including programme promotion, startups selection, due diligence, etc.
• Assisting the promotion and execution of various initiatives under the Programmes.
• Support the startups in the Programmes by:
• Providing financial, capital budgeting and structuring analysis on startups.
• Working with startups in operations, financial management, fund raising plans, business strategies, etc.
• Conducting periodic review on the performance from business and financial perspectives.
• Deliver and/or source training to startups management in relation to one or more key corporate functions.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager as appropriate.

Requirements: 

• University graduate or above in Finance / Accounting, CPA or CFA is a plus.  
• Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in startup operations / early stage investments in TMT sector / management consulting / Big 4.
• Experiences as finance related positions in SME or venture capital / investment fund highly preferred.
• Passion for entrepreneurship; good understanding in startup eco-system.
• A positive attitude, highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and desire to succeed.
• Logical thinking, attention to details, great interpersonal organized, a good team player and manager able to multi-task and work under pressure and tight schedule.
• Effective communicator with proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) required.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position.
