Job Summary:
The Manager, eCommerce is responsible for Hong Kong Disneyland’s online sales (theme park & hotels) across all countries, with a focus on Hong Kong, China and the rest of Asia-Pacific.
The role involves developing aggressive online promotions and optimizing the Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) website and mobile app in terms of pricing, content, usability, conversion rate and revenue. It also covers managing our HKDL flagship stores on eCommerce retail platforms in China, including WeChat and Fliggy.
The candidate must have the ability to critique and advise the VP, Sales & Distribution Marketing, and work closely with Market Strategy, Digital Marketing & Social Media and Revenue Management & Analytics to develop Marketing & Sales campaigns that drive traffic and revenue to our “digital direct” platforms (Website, WeChat, Fliggy and other eCommerce platforms). He/She will also work with a team of web and software developers in the Technology team on the look & feel and technical systems of the HKDL website.
The Manager, eCommerce needs to be extremely sales driven, have an in-depth understanding of web design and web analytics, and possess business acumen, business partner management experience and influencing skills. He/She is also expected to provide insights into local and international eCommerce challenges, trends and opportunities, and be accountable for growing and meeting HKDL’s “digital direct” revenue targets.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the eCommerce strategy and implementation/execution of plans to achieve annual business goals for HKDL’s “digital direct” digital platforms. Conduct business presentations and reviews to demonstrate strategy and vision to the company, with the objective to achieve eCommerce targets.
- Analyze and optimize web data and sales data from all digital channels to maximize transaction value on HKDL’s Website and flagship stores on WeChat and Fliggy. Propose the best fitting strategies, products, promotions and strategies to aggressively grow HKDL’s “digital direct” channels.
- Develop & execute digital partnership plans with third party eCommerce and Retail Platforms to drive digital engagement and traffic to HKDL’s “digital direct” platforms (hongkongdisneyland.com, WeChat, Fliggy).
- Collaborate with cross-functional LOBs incl. Revenue Management & Analytics, Market Strategy, Sales & Distribution Marketing, Digital Marketing & Social Media to develop effective eCommerce strategies (product / pricing / platform) in various markets: Hong Kong, China and rest of Asia-Pacific.
- Expand and optimize existing Affiliate Marketing and Meta-Search campaigns across Asia-Pacific to grow eCommerce revenue for HKDL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree holder or above
- Minimum 10 years’ working experience with at least 5 years’ in e-business and supervisory experience
- Deep understanding of the eCommerce market landscape in China, Hong Kong and rest of Asia-Pacific is preferred
- Strong commercial, project planning, presentation, leadership and management skills
- Good liaison skills for business development and building partnerships (internal and external)
- Ability to develop business cases and distill down research and data to identify business opportunities.
- Strong analytic skills, sensitive to numbers including sales data, web analytics and user behavior
- Ability to drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal responsibility
- Knowledge of SEO and website content management
- Fluent in English and Cantonese, Putonghua
