The Job
- Assist to provide technical and contractual support, advice as well as auditing functions to the Projects Division and the other Divisions.
- Assist to carry out cost studies, cost planning and control, cost analysis and cash flow monitoring on projects.
- Assist to administer the procurement procedures and approval process of appointment of consultants and contractors as well as the approval and processing of contractor’s payments, professional fees and supervision costs.
- Collate information and data for senior management to monitor consultants’ cost and contractual input as well as compliance with in-house standards and procedures.
- Assist to prepare annual budget on construction cost.
- Handle issues in relation to Extension of Time and Monetary Claims and Consultancy Fee Claims.
- Compilation of cost data, checking of quotations, preliminary vetting of tender documents and final accounts of the projects as well as follow up with consultants / contractors.
- Collate information for Risk Management monitoring.
The Person
- Possess professional qualification in MHKIS (QS) or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ post qualification experience in quantity surveying practice, particularly in tender documentation, contract management, estimation, cost planning and control, preferably with experience in large scale local residential/commercial projects.
- Good understanding of pre and post contract quantity surveying professional practices.
- Hands-on experience in general computer application.
- Strong managerial, supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed with current property market and construction industry developments.
