Job Description & Responsibilities
The Consulting Human Capital team is currently seeking a HR Business Partner; reporting to the Consulting Human Capital Leader, this role is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in Consulting practice. The position serves as a consultant/advisor to management on human resources-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with other HR functional teams including Centre of Expertise and HR Shared Services and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives and strategies of Consulting practice.
- Consults with Consulting leadership, providing HR guidance when appropriate and conducts regular meetings with different stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of various HR initiatives and programs to enhance people engagement;
- Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies;
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations where needed;
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the internal legal department and policy team as needed/required;
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to Consulting leadership and managers (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions);
- Support supervisor in implementing annual performance management, talent and salary review processes including monitoring staff performance review, moderation discussion, promotions and executing remuneration and talent reviews;
- Work closely with leadership and employee to improve work relationship, build morale, and increase productivity and retention by reviewing and analysing the people engagement surveys;
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation;
- Monitor the process of hiring, internal transfer/secondment and global mobility arrangement
- Provides guidance and input on organisation restructures, change management, workforce planning and succession planning ;
- Identify training and development needs for Consulting key talent in order to support their growth with the firm and strategies to drive a high performance culture.
Reporting structure & key relationships
Directly report to Consulting HC Leader
Key relationships include the Consulting leadership, Consulting Human Capital team and other HR professionals across China and Hong Kong.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Business, Human Resources, Social Sciences or related disciplines;
- Minimum 10 years of HR generalist working experience, preferably in a professional services or multinational corporation. Experience within a multicultural and diversified environment is preferred;
- Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills is essential and good command of spoken and written English;
- Experience with research, compiling briefs, data analytics, reports and presentation for leadership;
- Demonstrated competence to handle highly confidential information and the ability to exercise discretion and remain sensitive to individual situations;
- Strong consultation, negotiation and influencing skills with an ability to build strong client relationships at all levels;
- Good team player with commitment to quality;
- A proactive, dynamic attitude with enthusiasm and positive energy;
- Flexible in approaching work situations and different workings styles;
- Highly organised and resilient; able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure;
- Ability to problem solve and consult with teams and leaders on more difficult issues;
- Proven project management and change management experience.
