The Training and Communications Manager is responsible for leading FP&A Systems training efforts as well as creating and driving key FP&A Systems communications on status, future deliverables and change management topics to our global stakeholders and management as needed. This includes, but is not limited to meeting coordination, training strategy development/execution and partnering with FP&A Systems Leadership team, Business Support team and end users to drive understanding and compliance to our global operating model. This person will also participate in some change management strategy development and will collaborate with FSS Change Management team to ensure consistency and alignment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Development and execution of a robust training strategy in support of FP&A Systems planning and reporting systems. This will cover coordination of training courses, including introduction of new FP&A Systems functionality, ongoing training on current topics and features, as well as focused training on key change management topics as needed. Work directly with Business Support Manager and Finance Leads to design, oversee development, and deploy FP&A Systems training courses and associated tools used in supporting the system Development of long-term sustainability plans for communication support to include development and utilization of standard communication and training templates and processes Contribute to existing functional area meetings aiding in development of presentation content and action item follow up relating to FP&A Systems training and communication activities. Work effectively across Finance and BTS teams to identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific communication plans to mitigate or address potential concerns. Ability to write and edit engaging and visually appealing communications in support of FP&A Systems activities where needed (i.e., project communications, success stories/wins, executive summaries, presentations) Development and execution of change management strategies in support of FP&A Systems project efforts and ensures all FP&A Systems change management communication deliverables are in alignment with FSS expectation and AbbVie Branding guidelines; formats/packages and organizes assets prior to delivery. Work to identify and pursue related initiatives that will improve internal communications, promote employee engagement, and support/promote company culture and shared values. Works closely with the Business Support team to ensure timely and accurate training and documentation publication. Defines and measures success criteria and monitors progress on training and communication plans with BTS, Business Support Manager and Leadership team as needed. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: The Training and Communications Manager will be accountable to the Director of Planning Systems. The key impact of this role is to ensure meaningful, impactful training and communications to drive the effectiveness of the global operating model. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Communication, Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or related function. 5+ years of experience and proficiency in developing and delivering communication and training solutions including strong group facilitation and excellent written communication skills. Experience consulting to business leaders, providing training, communication and/or change management support Experience managing change associated with complex, global systems or process implementations Demonstrated success working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment Demonstrated success in working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization Proven ability to adapt communication style for a variety of modes as well as for multicultural audiences. Strong command of the English language and effective communication skills with employees at any level in the organization, including executives, are a must. Experience in training development and web-based training deployment. Experience with SAP and or TM1 systems a plus.
