Work you’ll do
In this interesting and diverse role, you’ll manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for small to large projects/programs in one or more of the IT technology project portfolios. The project/program manager leads and coordinates project/program team resources to ensure project/program milestones are met and the project/program is delivered on schedule and on budget with the highest standard of quality. The project/program manager also manages project/program risk identification and resolution to keep projects/programs on track and able to deliver planned outcomes. The project/program manager may have responsibility for managing day-to-day activities of other PMO team members as well as providing coaching and performance feedback.
Job Description and Responsibility
Responsibilities
Liaise with business users to formulate new system requirements and assess enhancement requests to fulfil ongoing business needs:
- Collect and analyze business requirements
- Compile user requirement specifications with industry methodologies
- Conduct process design and high-level system function design; prepare system prototype
- Liaise with Development Team for system development and maintenance works
- Manage system scope and user expectations
Provide support and coverage to change management to ease stakeholders to understand and adopt new processes and systems:
- Perform system test planning and execution
- Coordinate user acceptance test
- Prepare system user guides and communication material
- Arrange and deliver user training
- Liaise with business users for system migration
- Liaise with Development Team and Operation Team for production system setup
Provide second-line application support to business users:
- Answer application usage enquiry, perform trouble-shooting on reported issues and liaise with Development Team for problem resolution or system improvement
- Provide BI reporting and data analysis support to meet management information need
- Transfer application knowledge to first-line support
Assist in project management to ensure business, schedule, resource and quality objectives are met.
Qualifications:

Experience / Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor degree in information technology related discipline; master degree in business administration a plus
- 5+ years of business or systems analysis experience in large-scale business application solution delivery within a defined software development life cycle; applicants with more experience will be considered for assistant manager or manager position
- Experience in project management will be considered an asset
- Previous hands-on work experience in development in Microsoft .Net environment a definite plus
- Conversant in system documentation using industry methodologies
- Strong business acumen; familiar with ERP, CRM, Finance and / or HR business, processes and applications
- Experience and interest in supporting new business initiatives
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficient in written and oral communication skills in Chinese/Putonghua and English
- Proficient in presentation to executive levels
- Experience of working in in-house, cross-functional and cross-team IT department of a sizeable and fast-paced organization
