The University is now looking for a high caliber professional to join our Building Services (Development) Team.
The appointee will manage, plan and develop building services systems from project inception, design, contract procurement, site execution to handover for new capital, addition and alternation as well as improvement projects to ensure the projects are accomplished in time, within budget, and up to required quality and safety standards.
The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in accomplishing project objectives, and provide technical support and expert advice on discipline-related issues to other members of the project team;
- Manage and monitor the performance of MEP consultant;
- Coordinate with the project team to produce preliminary and detailed designs, tender/construction documents, and to manage the procurement and construction process;
- Monitor and review the technical design and specification to ensure that project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design, works contract drawings and specifications;
- Implement progress, quality and budgetary control;
- Manage and oversee the installation work of the building services systems and the performance of contractors and sub-contractors; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Manager.
Applicants should have a degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or related disciplines plus at least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design and project management of building and infrastructure development. A good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese as well as AutoCAD application is essential. The ideal candidate should have good analytical and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.Being a member of HKIE, CIBSE, IMechE or other equivalent professional bodies is an advantage.Solid experience in developing and managing R&D offices, university/institutional buildings, hospital and laboratory is preferred. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
