Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of HKSTP’s Laboratory and Research Safety Policy as well as other corporate safety policies through various SHE programs: conduct risk assessment and management of various physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic hazards encountered in R&D activities and operational activities;
• Specific duties include, but are not limited to the monitoring of laboratory safety by conducting laboratory safety inspections, research safety assessments, occupational/environmental hygiene monitoring, laboratory safety related accident or incident investigations, laboratory safety training, and promotional activities regarding laboratory and research safety.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Bachelor degree in science, engineering or Safety, Health and Environment related area; candidates with higher qualification will be an advantage;
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience. Candidate with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Manager
• Working experience in research laboratory is preferred;
• Professional certification and/or registration is also highly desirable;
• Knowledge in system administration, maintenance or electronic file management is a definitely advantage;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
