ABOUT THE HOTEL
With 200 bedrooms and a 90 seat restaurant, Ibis Wellington is looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician who can carry out day to day maintenance work.
Reporting directly to the Area Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the Hotel Team, you will have previous experience in the maintenance field including plumbing, electrical and air conditioning experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Area Engineering Manager in the day-to-day running of the maintenance requirements of the hotel
- Maintain and liase with all hotel maintenance contractors to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
- Respond and action all maintenance requests within a timely manner
- General building and painting repairs
- Assist in keeping up to date records of the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Partake in the preventative maintenance programme
- Capable of working independently and part of a team
Work Experience
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT
- General building and trade knowledge with experience in a similar role
- Can-do attitude with an exceptional work ethic
- Strong eye for detail and great organisational skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Take pride in personal presentation and confident communicator
- Computer and technology savvy
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months
- Basic Computer literary essential
- Experience with painting a bonus
