ABOUT THE HOTEL

With 200 bedrooms and a 90 seat restaurant, Ibis Wellington is looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician who can carry out day to day maintenance work.

Reporting directly to the Area Engineering Manager, you will be a key member of the Hotel Team, you will have previous experience in the maintenance field including plumbing, electrical and air conditioning experience. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Area Engineering Manager in the day-to-day running of the maintenance requirements of the hotel
  • Maintain and liase with all hotel maintenance contractors to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • Respond and action all maintenance requests within a timely manner
  • General building and painting repairs
  • Assist in keeping up to date records of the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
  • Partake in the preventative maintenance programme
  • Capable of working independently and part of a team



Work Experience

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT

  • General building and trade knowledge with experience in a similar role
  • Can-do attitude with an exceptional work ethic
  • Strong eye for detail and great organisational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Take pride in personal presentation and confident communicator
  • Computer and technology savvy
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months
  • Basic Computer literary essential
  • Experience with painting a bonus
