An Operations Management Trainee greets and registers guests, providing prompt and courteous service. He / she checks guests out of the hotel and addresses guests’ challenges throughout their stay in our hotel.

What will I be doing?

As the Operations Management Trainee, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise activities for guests.
  • Assist with check-ins, check-outs and room arrangements of guests (Front Office MT only).
  • Greet guests upon arrival.
  • Tend to the guest relations desk.
  • Assist all departments in guest relations duties and other duties as directed by the Guest Service Manager.
  • Attend recreation activities when necessary.
  • Provide feedback from guests to the Front Office Manager or F&B Manager for their action.
  • Adhere to occupational, health and safety legislations, policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire and emergency procedures as well as the safe operation of equipment.
  • Take initiative to correct hazardous situations and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
  • Log down security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
  • Maintain a standard of excellence by setting high performance standards and goals related to SALT and online reviews.
  • Understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and guests in order to exceed their expectations, creating a positive image of the company.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge as well as awareness of special programs and events in the hotel in order to recommend services and facilities to guests according to their needs.
  • Exercise good teamwork with colleagues, supervisor and teams across departments to deliver positive results.
  • Be receptive to new ideas and respond positively to workplace changes.
  • Complete tasks as directed by the Management.
  • Ensure that your work quality meets the standards required and complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner with minimum supervision.
  • Meet hotel attendance and grooming standards.

  • Proficient in verbal and written English to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
  • Able to access and accurately input information on a moderately complex computer system.
  • Good interpersonal skills to provide overall guests satisfaction.
  • Basic mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers in hotel operations.
  • Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect and analyze accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Capable of working under pressure and able to deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
