You are expected to have a passion for teaching teenagers and to pass this passion onto them with a desire to teach in a multicultural environment. Strong communication skills, creative teaching practice and responsibility are highly desirable. This is a full-time English teaching position starting from August 14 (semester starts in September).
Candidates with up-to-date Cambridge examinations framework and the latest teaching trends are desirable but not essential.

Brief background information
You will participate in the programme which is conducted in a Chinese middle schools. Your daily teaching will follow the Cambridge published textbook, and you need to design your classes with various teaching materials. You are also expected to cooperate and work closely with your Chinese co-teachers, therefore strong communication skills are highly desirable to ensure teaching continuity.

Location: Suzhou
Target Students: Year 5 to Year 8

Job Responsibilities （included but not limited to）
● Design and strictly follow lesson plans, teaching objectives and syllabus with co-teachers
● Fully prepare and review the lesson in advance together with co-teachers
● Prepare the teaching and learning according to the course handbooks
● Daily communication with co-teachers; weekly and monthly meetings with co-teachers to ensure continuity of teaching content and teaching pace
● Organise and attend extracurricular activities, such as English Corner, at least twice a week
● Grade students’ assignments and test papers, follow-up with students and parents if necessary
● Interact with both parents and students in a way that is educational and fun
● Participate in teacher training sessions and assessments held by senior teachers and schools

Qualification
● At least 2 years of teaching experience
● Sponsored accreditation including Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge TKT, Trinity DipTESOL and DELTM etc.
● Have a bachelor’s degree (language related prefered)
● Have strong communication skills
● Native English speaker from: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa (due to visa regulations)
● Have a clean criminal background
● Newly qualified PGCE teachers are WELCOME

Job Salary
Comprehensive salary package including:
✔ Competitive local salary, dependent on experience and qualifications
✔ Yearly bonus (70% to 130% of monthly salary based on teacher & student assessment results)
