DESCRIPTION
The key focus for this role is to onboard appropriate products for the company’s various demand channels in a timely and efficient manner. Performance metrics for this role ensuring that Katerra projects and schedules allow for preferred sourcing techniques, that aggregated quantity demands are communicated to internal and external team, and to meet all team KPIs. The Materials Program Manager must be able to work with a geographically, functionally, and organizationally diverse group of stakeholders to achieve results. The ability to scale to manage business relations with all tiers of suppliers and internal customers is also a key contributor to success in this role with Katerra. The Materials Program Manager is responsible for driving decisions and regularly communicating accurate status on key initiatives and product onboarding. Success in this position requires a passion for excellence, high integrity, commitment to quality, excellent communication skills, and the willingness to travel. This job will require work outside normal hours to accommodate calls with global staff. This position has a dual reporting responsibility to all sourcing directors, or their delegates, as assigned.
Core Responsibilities:
Own the program management procedure within Katerra Organization
Identify as the primary point of contact with all Katerra departments, suppliers and clients
Participate in all Client/Design/Construction/Manufacturing meetings from preconstruction through project completion with a focus on providing constructability, assembly, supply chain and logistical support
Proactively manage all material related programs like NPI programs and cost down programs, and project schedules for Katerra Materials
Identify and escalate issues when stakeholders are unable to meet deadlines
Participate in the development and implementation of new Katerra products, processes and systems
Review and supervise all project material costs work with Katerra’s Sourcing team to confirm low cost options
Host weekly internal project meetings and be available for all project related Owner, Architect, Contractor and Supplier meetings
Prepare monthly KPI management report , and monthly programs update reports.
Work to ensure category strategy execution with all sourcing categories.
Work with Katerra IT to develop and maintain software solutions to ensure efficient and accurate quotes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Industry related Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in Microsoft office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Skilled in project management software (ProCore, P6, etc…) and equipment
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Excellent organization skills with an attention to details
Coaching, mentoring and personnel development skills required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (these are the “would be nice to have, but not a deal breaker” skills for the role)
Program Management experiences in a dynamic environment is preferred
Willingness to learn materials details for better understanding the challenge and opportunities on category level and process perspective
Experienced working on cross functional teams in a fast pace environment
Experienced with continuous improvement and Six Sigma processes
ERP and PLM Software System experience (SAP preferred)
