Job Title: Logistics Supervisor DI_CS About the Division The Digital Industries Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services to support manufacturing companies worldwide in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of their production processes and in reducing the time to market of their products. The ultimate goal is the complete integration and digital representation of the physical value chain. The platform for this is called Digital Enterprise. Mission/Function of the Role Supports Service Delivery (Field Services, Repair Services, Spare Parts, SLA's and Retrofit) and Business Administration Management by completing Logistics assigned tasks. Key responsibilities · Responsible for leading the Logistics Team, Planning, Monitoring and Staff development. · Ensuring that all Internal controls for Logistics are adhered to. · Responsible for improving customer satisfaction within DI CS business unit. · Managing the Dispatch and Receiving process within the DI CS business unit. · Adhere to relevant warehouse and inventory management policies, processes, procedures and reporting requirements; · Oversee, coordinate and control cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory · Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy · Adhere to relevant warehousing and inventory management policies, processes, procedures and reporting requirements. · Oversee inventory related master data creation and maintenance which includes amongst other things the creation, update and deletion of material and service masters; item classification; MRP settings (MRP type, lot size, re-order points, lead times etc.) to ensure accuracy and relevance. · Manage stock counting to ensure effective stock counting and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity in the SAP system; · Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained within all warehouse receiving and surrounding areas by addressing Safety Incidents of non-compliance, identify and report hazards, gross negligence, damage to property. · Equipment Maintenance - Adhere to relevant vehicle and materials handling policies and procedures . · Ensure that safety awareness is cultivated within the warehouse environment and ensure compliance with all relevant EHS policies, procedure and systems. · Adhere to relevant warehouse and inventory management policies, processes, procedures and reporting requirements · Develop and maintain relationships within the Supply Chain function as well as with other departments. · Provide regular feedback to the Logistics Manager regarding performance and potential issues. · Comply with the performance management system. · Assist with ad hoc tasks, initiatives or projects related to the warehouse management function and improvement of inventory as well as the overall logistics efficiency. · Collaborate within and across the different BU’s within the division and corporate. · Ensure full compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures. What do I need to qualify? · National Diploma in Logistics/Equivalent · Minimum 5 years Logistics experience preferably within a Customer Services Environment · Familiar with INCOTERMS (Essential) · Knowledge of IMPORT/EXPORT requirements (Essential) · Understands Drop shipment process · SAP experience (Essential) · PMD & OMS system, Tracer (Advantageous) · Process orientated and high regard for control an accuracy · Must have organizational ability and use initiatives · Process improvement / efficiency experience · Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team · Advanced ability to engage with external customers/ stakeholders Location: Based in Isando Reporting Manager The candidate will be reporting to the Business Administration Manager Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Proprietary Limited Experience Level: Experienced Professional Job Type: Full-time
