As a Local Business Line Manager, you will be responsible for leading the local business line, deliver superior customer experience and related profitable growth with an aligned strategy, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

  • Executing the business strategy to agreed targets, taking overall responsibility for Business Line targets. Developing and leading an energized and motivated team culture, driving superior customer experience
  • Ensuring effective deployment of personnel to meet the business needs. Leading and ensuring effective governance of the Business Line
  • Leading the risk review process. Working with relevant GSC to ensure projects are executed to plan
  • Supporting the global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business
  • Building a culture of empowerment and engagement across the teams. Ensuring market needs are communicated to the product management team
  • Being responsible and accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors acting for and on behalf of the local business line
  • Living the ABB values and Group standards
  • Monitoring and addressing competitor strategy. Playing an active role in the local Robotics & Discrete Automation (RA) leadership team and contributing to broader business strategy

Your background

  • 10 years of experience in Automotive industry business
  • Must have passion for customers, quality and technology
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of value proposition development
  • Experience of sales management tools usage and deployment preferably salesforce
  • A bachelors/master’s degree in engineering and/or business administration
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to coach, develop, lead and energize an organization
