Job Description
【This job needs teachers to work on weekends】

1.Working Schedule: 5-day work week, with 2 weekdays off, Work time: 9:00-18:00 or 13:00-20:30;
2.Weekly Teaching Hours: 16-18 hours, no office hours
3.Sample Working Hours:
1).Spring&Fall Semester: Wed-Fri, 13:00-20:30, Sat&Sun 9:00-18:00 (70% in person class+30% online class)
2).Summer&Winter Camp: Mon-Fri/Sat, 9:00-18:00, or 13:00-20:30 (In person+online camp)
4.Working Location: Daystar Academy, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China (near subway line 15 Maquanying, or line 14 Shangezhuang)
5.Class Size: small size (8-10 for average) or VIP (1 on 1) 
6.Students Age Range: 6-16 years old

Job Description
1. Teach English Language Arts (ELA), and Intensive Reading and Writing(Known as English Literature)
2. Responsible for delivering the lesson as well as some of the planning work; most of the teaching materials and PPT will be given by Think and Grow Research and Development Department;
3. Facilitate students to reach their goals in learning (Academic Reading and Writing as well as Critical thinking ability)
4. Motivate students and foster a love for literature and writing
5. Help with R&D work when needed (audio recording, etc)

1. 20K – 30K RMB monthly (Pre-tax), based on experience and academic background;

Job requirements
1. Native English speakers from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa (To meet China work visa regulations);
2. Bachelor’s Degree or above and at least 2 years’ work experience;
3. Candidates who are majored in English, or Education are preferred;
4. TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE certificate holder is a must (either one of them is fine);
5. Enjoy being with kids & teens and passionate about education;
6. Plan to live in China for at least 1 year

Our curriculum
1)English Language Arts
It is similar to the English classes in the US (followed Common Core States Standards) whose goal is to improve student’s academic reading and academic writing abilities by teaching them important skills such as critical thinking, how to make an inference and evidence collection. 

2)Intensive Reading and Writing Class 
Through "intensive reading of original novels" and "extensive theme-related writing", we systematically enhance students' reading and writing skills, cultivate their cultural literacy and critical thinking in an international curriculum, and also help improve their essential academic abilities for future A-Level/IB courses and exams like TOEFL/SAT.
