The opportunity (Milan based)
EY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, l, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: business transformation, commercial operations, commercial data and analytics, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation and enterprise transformation.

- Effectively support client engagement teams
- Leading key workstreams as part of large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering high quality deliverables
- Helping Managers and Senior Managers manage risk and helping ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
- Helping foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring staff consultants within the organization
- Starting to develop long-term client relationships and networks.
- Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
- Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology
- 3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:
- Brand strategy
- Pricing and market access
- Commercial operations model transformation
- Digital campaign management strategy
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)
- Experience with commercial operations and analytics
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations
