As a Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements and provide comments and advices, in Legal & Integrity Function in Beijing, China.

Reporting to the Region/Country Legal/Integrity Manager, you will develop a good working relationship with local business divisions and local functions.

Your responsibilities

• Supporting local Business Area Electrification and related functions as may be assigned and adjusted
• Assisting in negotiation of contracts for the business
• Assisting in project execution from a contract perspective as well as on general legal related issues
• Restructuring and liquidation of legal entities and supporting resolutions of disputes
• Supporting implementation of procurement process
• Supporting corporate governance actions to maintain and update legal status of companies and branch offices
• Analyzing legal issues requested by local business division and related local functions, and providing general legal advice and support
• Deliver legal training and being able to deal directly with internal clients and external parties

Your background

• 6 years of post-qualification experience practicing corporate law either as an associate at a reputable foreign or Chinese law firm or in a major MNC
• A Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable law school in China is required, and a Master of Law or a Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school abroad will be a plus
• Bar admission, admission in both PR China and a foreign jurisdiction will be a plus
• Fluent English and Chinese language skills
