Major Duties: |
(a) | To perform teaching duties in railway engineering or related area, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) | To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) | To assist in curriculum and training facilities planning, design and development of engineering programmes with the specific area in railway engineering; |
(e) | To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; |
(f) | To participate in networking with industry and professional bodies on collaborative projects, industrial attachments, mentorship programmes, industry-based student projects, local and non-local discipline / campus projects, competitions and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and |
(g) | To support the collaboration arrangements with other institutes in Mainland China and overseas. |

Requirements: |
(a) | A relevant recognized degree in engineering or related discipline, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification; |
(b) | At least 3 years’ full-time relevant teaching experience and/or industry experience in railway engineering; |
(c) | Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(d) | Industry networking abilities including but not limited to workplace attachment, industrial mentorship schemes, and industrial-based student projects; and |
(e) | Experience in rolling stock, track system, railway communication and signaling is preferred. |
