The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, founded in 1965, is a self-financing unit with the mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community. The School offers a wide variety of courses and programmes in diversified disciplines at city learning centres. CUSCS now invites applications for Lecturer/ Assistant Lecturer to provide support in teaching and programme quality assurance support to the related higher diploma programmes.

Applicants should possess (i) a Bachelor’s degree and a Master's degree in Social Work or related disciplines; (ii) a valid Registered Social Worker certificate issued by the Social Workers Registration Board or equivalent with not less than 5 years’ post-qualification experience in social work practice; (iii) at least 4 years’ post-Master teaching experience at tertiary level; (iv) proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; (v) substantial experience in programme curriculum design, review and development; and (vi) good connections with the social work and services sectors. Applicants with less experience but have at least 2 years’ post-Master teaching experience may be considered for appointment at Assistant Lecturer rank. 

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing December 2019, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
