Job Description

The Learning Advisor Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands relevant business and HR priorities and opportunities for capability building, performance improvement, cultural development, and overall impact within their region/product/function
  • In partnership with other Learning Advisors, provides management and consulting to Human Resource and business partners and proactively identifies and prioritizes the L&D opportunities to support successful business outcomes.
  • Helps develop and execute learning and development strategy for their region/product/function
  • Conducts the analysis of current versus future state gaps, identifies root causes, determines the appropriate solution and how success should be measured
  • Helps to market, evaluate and communicate the impact of initiatives with HR / Business partners
  • Monitors and communicates progress with other learning colleagues as well as HR / Business partners and navigates any variation in expectations with them
  • Collaborates with colleagues across HR to provide integrated experience for region/product/function partners
  • In partnership with other learning advisors, Implements the strategy for consistently measuring the effectiveness of training
  • Stays abreast to latest external market trends and anticipates their impact on future capability requirements for their region/product/function
  • Is responsible for learning budget for their specific focus area
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years experience in Learning and Development
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills
  • Proactive leadership and motivational skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Stakeholder Engagement Program

  • Work with the Global Head of Learning and Development on design, development and delivery of the Senior Stakeholder Program.
  • Work with Nomadic on creating the learning platform from design through to pilot and implementation.
  • Plan and run the workshop sessions in partnership with the Potential Squared including facilitation of sessions.
  • Recommend options for a C16 related program.
  • Ensure the program runs on budget, to time and a full project plan is in place that is regularly updated.
  • Carry out full evaluation of the program and produce regular reporting, making changes if required to the program.
  • Work on having the program accredited for CPE with the first year of roll-out.

Innovation Academy – Innovation (Analytics)

  • Work with the Innovation team on options to enhance the Foundation level training and bring it in line with digital guidelines as well as considering various digital formats for enhancement.
  • Recommend, seek approval and implement the Advanced level plan, including securing any necessary budgets and resources.
  • Finalise the Intermediate level training and continue to add to content on Learning Pathway on Degreed.
  • Ensure the entire Innovation program runs on budget, to time and a full project plan is in place that is regularly updated.
  • Carry out full evaluation of the Innovation program and produce regular reporting, making changes if required to the program.
  • Work on having the program accredited for CPE.

Digitization

  • Work on enhancing the level of engagement with digital training available at Citi – including developing initiatives, communications and learning strategy to ensure awareness and uptake
  • Work with the Cyber team to ensure their plan for improving level of Cyber ability and qualifications in the team is completed and evaluated effectively.

Report Writing

  • Work with the Innovation team on identifying the key areas of focus for report writing training based on the natural language processing provided.
  • Design, develop and implement a report writing program that focuses on key areas of focus including but not limited to providing insights and adding value for stakeholders.
  • Ensure the program runs on budget, to time and a full project plan is in place that is regularly updated.
  • Carry out full evaluation of the program and produce regular reporting, making changes if required to the program.
  • Work on having the program accredited for CPE.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Be the key point of contact for specific Product/Functions within Internal Audit, including working closely with the Business Manager and Leadership team.
  • Present L&D offering at Town Halls for the Products/Function as required
  • Work with the Product/Function teams as a consultant on their L&D plans
  • Provide regular communication and updates on ongoing and new L&D initiatives as well as reporting around L&D related strategic initiatives and ‘Must Win Battles’.

Note that there may be additional or alterative programs suggested based on the skills and experience of the applicant and current skills/knowledge within the IA L&D team.

Qualification and Competencies

  • Experience from working with Audit, Risk or Compliance would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to articulate concepts simple and in an engaging format.
  • Able to lead and facilitate training virtually or face to face.
  • Excellent global stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong ppt.skills, experience in developing online training is highly desirable.
  • Highly organised, self-disciplined and able to use MI to drive action.
  • Able to develop blended virtual learning programs which use social and gamification concepts.
  • Innovative and keen to try new ways of doing things.
  • Highly adaptable to changing priorities and ambiguity
  • Influential and passionate about Learning and Development.
  • Proven track record in ability to engage stakeholders globally, at all levels.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment; sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Ability to work well under time pressure.
  • Strong analytical and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels of seniority.
  • Experience of having run multiple projects concurrently including all related aspects, such as budget, resource, timings etc..
  • Ideally qualified at Bachelors level with a HR or L&D related qualification.
  • Highly desirable to have a Digital Learning qualification and/or experience of working with Digital Learning software such as Articulate, Brainshark and/or Lectora.
