What will YOU do as a Leader in Development at H&M?

The Leader in Development or Department Supervisor (as we like to call it) is a true developing leader in our store locations!  As a Leader in Development you will first choose if you would like your focus to be Department Manager or Visual Merchandiser.

 

With a Department Manager Focus you will: 

Lead people to demonstrate the H&M values and provide great customer service, to drive the selling goals.

Show your potential and passion by reacting to the business to ensure profitability for a smaller department at H&M. 

Create an inviting and exciting presentation of our fashion in collaboration with the visual team.

Learn to open and close an H&M store location.

Work with sales, cost plans KPIs and budgets to make business decisions to ensure maximum profitability in a department. 

Follow and execute safety and security routines to prevent loss and guarantee employee and customer safety.

 

With a Visual Merchandiser Focus you will:

Create an environment that inspires customers to explore their personal style in a smaller department.

Share, inspire and educate the store team on seasonal trend information.

Ensure you meet customer expectations on direct service according to H&M standards.

Secure well-styled mannequins in windows and in store and make sure garment presentation is inspiring.

Create a clear story from windows to the indoor of the store with wearable buying suggestions. 

Ensure high quality, commercial garment presentation with good garment care everyday.

Provide strong concept flow by maintaining the concept layout, fixtures and navigation. 

Launch and maintain all sales campaigns and activities on time and according to H&M standards.

Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and sales in collaboration with department managers.

Perform sales follow-up and initiate actions to reach sales targets.

Qualifications

  •       You are a High School graduate or equivalent or you have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  •       You have 1-2 years of retail management experience, including experience as a supervisor, keyholder or visual.
  •       You can lift excess of 20 pounds, you can stand for extended periods of time; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push; pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance.
  •       You are able to climb a ladder and use a stepstool.
  •       You have open availability including evenings and weekend.

 

Job Status:

Non-Exempt, Hourly
