• Work with Product Manager, Systems Manager, design manager and Program Manager to lead the mechanical design work for LED fixture products;
• Responsible for communication with suppliers on manufacturing related issue;
• Check and review mold designs with suppliers, and address any technical related issues;
• Manage & maintain engineering database to ensure all documents (drawing, 3D models, BOM etc) are up to date;
• Understand product safety and performance regulation/standards (UL/CE/ANSI…) and apply to product design.
• Provide technical support to local and global teams internally when needed;
• Have high potential to lead on tech decision making and coach young team members

• Minimum 10 years of experience in related discipline beyond BS degree
• Demonstrated capabilities in mechanical design
• Broad knowledge base in high technology environment
• Product development and Program Management experience a plus
• LED knowledge a plus.

Desired Characteristics

• BS / MS –Mech Eng, System Eng
• Knowledge in manufacturing process, including die casting, AL extrusion, plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion and sheet metal forming etc;
• Capable of using 3D design software and have knowledge of engineering database management;
• Knowledge in lighting applications and luminaire standards is must;
• Good inter-personal skills, team player, detail focusing, easy to work with and commitment to target;
• Fluent English communication both in writing and oral. Be adaptive to conference call during night time with global teams.
