The Supply Chain (SC) Sourcing Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading procurement activities such as the negotiation of terms of price, quantity and delivery, analyzing comparable suppliers and agreeing on contracts in coordination with the Corporate Services team. The overall objective of this role is to acquire goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the company's business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee sourcing and supply base strategy, develop standards, policies, targets, and category strategies which ensure diverse supplier inclusion in fall planning and general sourcing considerations
- Help to coordinate the sourcing process for the various products and services within the procurement group and identify diverse suppliers who meet identified sourcing needs
- Lead and support Citi efforts to ensure diverse supplier inclusion in all aspects of Citi business.
- Lead and ensure sustainability and sustainable sourcing practices and ensure compliance with environmental, diversity and human rights/labor law concerns.
- Lead and/or participate in global category forums maintaining high level sourcing processes and team
- Develop and/or implement market analyses/benchmarking processes and leverage key insights to inform and support the category strategy development process
Work with local external parties to ensure supplier diversity/inclusion standards are properly followed.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the sourcing of procurement commodities.
- Work with sourcing leaders, champions and suppliers to measure and track performance and any reporting requirements.
- Utilize various procurement tools and processes to research supplier and commodity information. Report and record Procurement transactions such as: Sourcing Request Forms, Projects, Sourcing Strategy, Savings, Contracts, Approved Suppliers, etc.
- Work within Citi Supply Chain Development , Inclusion and Sustainability team and with sourcing and expense management managers to implement a supplier registration and validation process
- Help to coordinate an active outreach campaign, serve as Supply Chain Development/Sustainability liaison to the sourcing team and provide guidance to global commodity advocates and champions
- Work with the Risk and Compliance, TPM, Procurement Support, and Analytics team as applicable to develop an auditing and reporting process
- Lead NAM Supplier Management Champions to prepare applicable materials including scorecards associate• with line of sight progress and identification of new opportunities
- Ensure Citi's compliance with environmental legislation and maintain contact with appropriate external organizations/agencies to strengthen Citi's position in the marketplace.
- Must support team efforts to identify and shape training programs and learning opportunities for local and global understanding and awareness
- Work with external subject matter experts and peers to provide best practices to Citi that help to provide learning solutions that meet targeted outcomes
- Evaluates all learning activity, e.g., lunch and learns to determine impact on business outcomes and awareness.
- Manage the implementation of sustainable practices and procedures which model Citi’s Corporate Sustainability Goals
- Work with sourcing team to develop a checklist and aligned process to help Citi measure itself on sustainable supply chain practices
- Engage with sourcing leaders to ensure that sourcing selection processes incorporate the Corporate Responsibility Questionnaire (CRQ)
- Effectively plan and work with Global sourcing /business managers to review, assess, and minimize risk and exposure associated with CRQ scoring results and ensure effective training on matters regarding supply chain diversity and sustainability
- Develop and/or implement a strategic supplier management program to ensure optimal supply chain performance and which includes competitive diverse firms
- Set strategic direction with sourcing team regarding suppliers, help to establish supplier qualification criteria, develop contract requirements and master agreements where applicable and where BAO duties dictate, engage in the negotiation and management of contracts
- Develop strategies with sourcing to ensure diverse supplier integration, supplier management evaluation, negotiation considerations include diversity, productivity reviews, and customer and supplier relationships that mirror Citi practices regarding diversity and sustainability
- Coach and train new diversity champions in the U.S. and globally as well as serve in informal/formal leadership roles within team
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing and contract management in transnational companies, and/or consultative organizations and working with people based in other geographies
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent client relationship skills to include engagement with Senior Leaders
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experience in training delivery
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-cultural environment
- Able to work with complexity and navigate ambiguity while establishing deadlines
- Demonstrated strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills as well as effective presentation and facilitation skills
- Provide ongoing support for the implementation and maintenance of the Supplier Management Program including data collection and analysis of supplier frameworks and scorecards.
- Engage with Analytics team providing initial and quarterly spend/ revenue updates the supplier frameworks.
- Internet/Intranet savvy.
- Exposure to e-learning, web meeting tools/software. Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to manage expectations and relationships with staff, superiors, vendors, business partners, etc.
- Strong desire to learn the business and stay up to date on developments in the financial services/supply chain
- Ability to “think out of the box” – creative, innovative, designer/developer
- Contract and Vendor Management experience preferred
- Able to speak, read and write English fluently
- Experience with supplier diversity programs and strategic development of line of sight process and programs which include supplier diversity
- Demonstrated commitment and engagement with diversity initiatives, diversity within the supply chain and actual engagement in supplier diversity and sustainability efforts
- Awareness of supply chain sustainability and/or global CSR implications
- Advanced computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and eProcurement tools (e.g Oracle, Procure-to-Pay, eAuction, eRFx)
- Demonstrated strategic sourcing/procurement, stakeholder management, relationship management, and influencing skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
The role requires engagement with Human Resources, Corporate Sustainability and Citi Foundation, Global Public Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Community Development and others regarding diversity and sustainability. The role is to ensure the integration of supplier diversity and inclusion and sustainability practices across the firm and in support of membership organizations who advocate for supplier diversity.
The defined role supports the four quadrants of emphasis within Citi Supplier diversity: Stakeholder engagement; Reporting; Education, Training and Development; and Policy and Governance and create training and development activities in satisfaction of those areas. The development and maintenance of close business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify needs is key.
