Our product testing Laboratory in Hangzhou is specializing in children’s products, branded merchandise, hardlines and textiles, with operating laboratories. We have decades of experience in the consumer products industry: we know testing, and the regulations and standards that drive it.

The Job Description:

Based in our office in Dongguan and reporting directly to the Managing Director, Asia Laboratories, you will lead a team of lab experts and ensure that the current lab procedures of our company is managed in terms of operations.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Lead the team to manage the entire laboratory program and processes delivered in the laboratory

• Oversee the financial status of Dongguan laboratory and ensure profit margin in high level

• Improve ideas across lab testing procedures, operations and database if required

• Plan the development, validation and implementation of new testing items and test methods in a timely manner and within available resources and as per business requirements by our clients

• Act as the representative of the company in Dongguan to work with authorities, councils and industry associations

• Control any quality-related defective and non-conformance and ensure the laboratory testing service in high performance level
  

Requirements:

In order to succeed in this role, you must:

• Hold a degree in Chemistry Engineering or any related technical background, with at least 10+ years of laboratory management experience with people and financial responsibility;

• Extensive knowledge of ICPMS / GCMS / LCMS;

• Have operation management knowledge and use of Laboratory Information Management Systems and Database;

• Possess concrete experience to work with accreditation bodies and maintain the quality system according to ISO 17025;

• Have a strong understanding about the local laws and regulations for managing laboratories with chemicals and environmental concerns;

• Be presentable to clients for both introducing laboratory processes, capabilities and capacities and resolving specific technical inquiries or problems;

• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
