Job Summary：

Job responsibilities will include preparing silicone surfactants, polyurethane foam evaluation and testing polyurethane foam physical properties. Key market areas: conventional slabstock foam, flame lamination flexible foam, high resilience slabstock foam, and viscoelastic foam application. The successful candidate will support chemist to prepare silicone surfactant and additives, and evaluate silicone surfactant/additives in lab at varied PU flexible conventional foam applications. The candidate for this position will work under general supervision as a member of Urethane Additives (“UA”) team and conduct Laboratory research and application development work to drive growth of Momentive’s UA Slabstock business.

Job Responsibilities:

? Provide routine laboratory procedures with general supervision directed at the preparation and evaluation of various UA slabstock foam applications. This will be including surfactant preparation, foam evaluation and foam physical testing.

? Conduct all necessary lab experiments and record experimental data and observations in an organized laboratory notebook.

? Provide charts, graphs and written summaries of experimental results to chemist.

? Maintain safe operations and orderly laboratory work environment at all times.

Job Requirement:

? B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry/Science/Engineering.

? Fluent in Mandarin language both verbal and written.

? Job will be located at the China Technical Center in Shanghai China.

? Demonstrate basic understanding of polymer chemistry.

? Self-motivated, results-oriented, with careful attention to detail and high level of initiative ability to be flexible and to work on multiple projects at any given time.

? Working knowledge of standard PC operations.

Education Requirements:

? Graduate/Diploma or associate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Polymer Science related field. Or Fresh Master Degree.

? 0-2 years’ experience in Chemical Companies. Having related polyurethane experience is a plus.

? Fresh graduate needs to demonstrate proficiency in polymer chemistry subjects and experimental in university.
