The Know Your Client (KYC) Utility is an AML/Control function within Institutional Clients Group (ICG) within Citi. The KYC Operations Teams within ICG is responsible for conducting due diligence for Citi’s Institutional customers. As a part of the due diligence process, KYC Operations utilizes information from publicly available Market Data Sources (MDS) or products/services offered by various third-party KYC vendor utilities.

KYC Re-engineering Business Analyst will work as part of the ICG KYC Reengineering team supporting all reengineering projects that are targeted to augment the operational efficiency of KYC Operations. The role combines working on internal functional requirements as well as managing data vendor integrations (including product pilots).

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Author Business and Functional Requirements Documents (BRD’s / FRD’s) for ISG KYC related applications
• Liaise with KYC BSU and other operations groups on capturing of requirements
• Experience writing use cases and/or user stories
• Elaborate requirements and provide support to multiple IT development teams in the implementation of requirements

• Knowledge of Data mapping concepts and experience authoring data requirements and rules at field level
• Interface with data vendors and managed service providers in the KYC area

• Compare product offerings using objective criteria
• Conduct gap analysis between solutions
• Map data requirements between internal and vendor systems
• Present findings to senior stakeholders
• Run pilots / proof of concept project with data vendors / managed services solutions
• Leverage standardized approaches (RACI) to use / integrate with vendor offerings
• Coordinate between vendors, internal users, stakeholders, and if required, IT groups to successful execute pilots according to clear exit criteria
• Identify all key deliverables and milestones within each initiative
• Present findings to senior stakeholders
• Proactively suggest innovative and efficient processes for KYC BSU
• Promote regional awareness in all regions and businesses of the projects
• Work within and alongside RM (Relationship Manager), KYC BSU and Compliance communities to ensure utilization of ICG KYC Support Group methods and processes
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and development teams

Documentation Management

• Structure and develop PowerPoint presentations for senior management
• Prepare handover document to operations at project implementation stage

Business Process Management

• Champion change management / socialize with senior management
• Identify optimization opportunities in process; challenge existing processes and requirements
• Liaise with KYC platform and other support systems personnel in relation to operational requirements, functional requirements definition and enhancement roll out

Developmental value

Business Analysis, Process Reengineering, Process optimization.

5+ years’ business analyst experience (preferably in banking)

• 3+ Years experience with functional requirements (beyond business requirements); attention to detail a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels
• Subject matter expertise in KYC is a huge advantage
• Experience in working with data vendors and running proof of concepts / product trials is a huge advantage
• Strong or Expert level Excel user required; vba skills an advantage
• Comfort in preparing Power Point presentations to different audience levels
• Experience working directly with IT developers AND end users
• Strong time management and task management skills; project management experience a plus (but business analyst skills take priority)
• MS Visio experience with BPMN process flows a plus
• Working understanding of IT systems and their components
• Experience with rules based requirements a huge plus – including comfort with logical statements (coding experience, not required but helpful)
• Functional familiarity with API’s
• Technical experience (coding) not required, but may be a plus

Competencies:

• A proven track record with at least 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Innovation and change management/re-engineering
• Track record in execution and delivery within deadlines.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Math, Science, Management Science, Operations Research or equivalent (experience more important than degree)
