Job Descriptions

  • Partner with relevant Sales Specialists and Solution Architects to detail customer’s technical requirements and develop conceptual end-to-end customer solution architectures using a combination of Telstra PBS and partner products and capabilities.
  • Translate customer business issues into customer business and technical requirements, and opportunities for Telstra PBS
  • Ensure early involvement in new opportunities to validate the capabilities of Telstra PBS for these opportunities.
  • Build relationships with, and influence, technical decision makers in prospect organizations becoming a trusted technical advisor and an evangelist.
  • Validate the end-to-end solutions to ensure operational and financial risks to customers and to Telstra is minimized.
  • Engage internal stakeholders e.g. Product, Engineering, Service Delivery and Assurance, where necessary to ensure that the proposed solution may be supported through from order to delivery to assurance.
  • Develop and deliver technical proposals and presentations to customers with content tailored to the audience as appropriate – to include ROI/TCO understanding and the technical differentiation and value proposition of Telstra solutions.
  • Keep up to date of the competitive landscape. Be able to clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition of Telstra solutions.
  • Review and analyze current partner technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corporate objectives.
  • Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives.
  • Provide technical and domain expertise throughout the sales process.
  • Become the client advocate and needs aggregation point for interaction with product management function.
  • Acquire knowledge on new technology and industries changes and share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers via training internal and external customers on product, services and solutions


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree Holder in Computer Science/IT/Information Engineering/Electronic Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in Telecommunications or IT industry with four or more years in customer facing positions (Technical Presales, Sales Engineering, and Solution Consulting).
  • Candidate certified with CCNA,CCNP,CCIE is relevant is preferred.
  • The role need demonstrable expertise in pre-sales design and solution architecture of moderate to complex technology-based solutions, which meet both customer requirements and vendor capability in the market.
  • Candidate who understand the China local culture with working experience in multinational organization is preferred.
  • Self-motivator who can work independently
  • Strong articulation and influencing skill are required to support communication with internal and external customers across functions
  • Demonstrable experience in the development of solutions based in all of the following:
  • Private Line technologies including Ethernet, SDH, Wavelength (and familiarity with undersea cable systems)
  • Data and IP Services (MPLS-VPN, Voice over IP, Public IP, Hyrbid WAN, SD WAN)
  • Experience in the following will be an advantage:
  • LAN & Managed Network Services (LAN, WiFi, Content Delivery, Optimization)
  • Security Solutions (FW, IDS/IPS, SEM, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security)
  • Cloud & Data Center Outsourcing (Application Hosting, Virtualization, Storage, AWS, Azure, Softlayer, O365).
  • Unified Communication / Collaboration (UCaaS, Skype for Business, Microsoft Lync, or Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration products).
