As a Software Engineer you will work within a development team to help build new software and build enhancements to existing QAD software products. As a development team member you will analyze, design, develops, test, troubleshoot and debug software applications. You will work in a fully functional team of 6 people where you closely work together during the whole development lifecycle using the agile software development practices and continuous improvement. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the sound development and implementation of QAD's software solutions.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Analyze, develop, enhance and maintain QAD Enterprise Financials applications. Includes creation of test plans, design specification, development and unit testing of source code, schema design, prototyping and documentation.

• Perform analysis to define requirements for new features or modifications including affected programs, expected behavior, related document changes and test scenarios.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Preferably (1~3) years work experience with Object Oriented development in Java,C#, .NET.
• Familiar with at least one kind of RDBMS. MySQL is preferred.
• Experience working with source version control tools i.e. Git or Subversion
• Familiar with Linux or Unix system
• Experience in development of web based applications is a plus
• Strong desire to learn, develop and grow with the organization.
• Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation. Good analytical and design skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Progress software experience is a plus
• ERP experience is a plus
• Knowing Financial Accounting is a plus
