Function/Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Technology team you will be developing and implementation new and improved ion exchange membrane chemistries. You will be leading scale up trails on our pilot casting line and working in close collaboration with the Supply Chain team during the implementation phase in mass production. You will work on cost out initiatives and membrane casting line enhancements resulting in better and more cost competitive new electrochemical water treatment products. This position is in the Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (COE) for ED membranes and systems in Wuxi, China and will help drive our growth programs in China, and globally.

• Define and source new membrane chemicals and substrates materials.

• Develop new membrane formulations from lab to pilot production.

• Improve and support existing membranes, products, and processes in manufacturing, QC, marketing, and the field.
• Enhance, and troubleshoot pilot ion exchange membrane fabrication equipment.

• Gather and analyze data and report key results to local technology and supply chain teams.

• Present results in monthly/quarterly reviews with global team.
• Contribute to troubleshooting customer problems related to electrodialysis products.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering preferred, M.S. minimum. Industrial experience and depth of knowledge can substitute for the Ph.D. degree.
• Industrial hands-on experience with web handling equipment, membrane casting equipment and processes, as well as ion exchange membrane characterization.
• Experience with good Environmental, Health, and Safety practices.
• Independent, motivated self-starter with the personal initiative to help shape a Growth Program platform.
