The Investment Sales Sr Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on complex products and services.
- Work with partners in sales training, process and fulfillment.
- Ensure that sales activities are conducted within the approved compliance and regulatory framework.
- Work with relationship managers in total client relationship building and financial planning propositions.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Ensure Division and branch leadership outreach occurs in order to build and maintain effective partnerships.
- Respond to sales leads generated through business partners and recommend the best offering to clients based on client profiling and suitability assessments.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years experience
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or S63 + S65)
- Proactive, successful sales and service experience in the financial services industry
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive view on Economics, Finance and Investment.
- Deep knowledge on investment Products.
- Client orientation and mindset, able to stay on top of client needs and initiate or prepare a timely response.
- Ability to manage client’s expectations.
- PC proficiency, including WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and applicable internal systems.
- Possess ability to acquire additional licenses as needed
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- Partner in team with a Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of assigned investment / Banking accounts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals (Gross Revenues, ROA, Balance growth, Qualified Acquisitions, NNM, other).
- Work with assigned RM to achieve their respective monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals and scorecard.
- Execute trade orders and review for accuracy and correct completion.
- Prepare and process trade corrections, maintain necessary records for compliance as necessary.
- Perform periodic account/portfolio reviews to ensure suitability with customer objectives and compliance with RDIP policies. Maintain and update all accounts to ensure compliance with all CPII and corporate policies.
- Work with assigned RM and support structure to assist in reaching banking goals and offering of all IPB wealth management solutions to customers.
