Location/Division Specific Information
This position is focused on service delivery excellence for UnityTM Lab Services. A division of Thermo Fisher responsible for providing onsite services at customers locations. We provide services at over 400 customer sites globally.
This position is located in Boston, MA.


How will you make an impact?
As a Senior Site Specialist, you’ll be a part of the important work being done in the lab by supporting and servicing our customers onsite.
 

What will you do?
Inventory Management

  • Restocking of lab consumables and solvents at designated inventory locations
  • Stock areas will be established as part of implementation
  • Provide status of back-orders and expedite as necessary
  • Work with end users to right size inventory levels and product mix

Order Management

  • Perform ordering of supplies on behalf of end users
  • Provide general customer service on site
  • Working with sales team, provide options for product standardization and low cost alternatives​

Support the Quality Management System by:

  • Development, maintenance and full adherence to departmental work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in fulfillment of the requirements of our Quality Management System and the expectations of our interested parties (internal / external).
  • Identify and report quality or compliance concerns to management and the quality function and take immediate actions to remedy.
  • Complete all planned or unplanned quality & compliance training requirements within defined deadlines
  • Support customer facilities teams with requests, not limited to conference room setups, hanging pictures and whiteboards, and assisting with lab moves

How will you get here?
Education:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Computer literate Proficient in Microsoft Office program, especially Excel
  • Work Overtime, as required
  • Resource should have right attitude, self-starter
  • 1-2 years experience
  • knowledge of the lab environment

Working Conditions:

  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between customer sites.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance
  • Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments.
  • May be required to work independently at a customer location.
