Job Description

 

The Compliance officer helps in the monitoring and control of compliance risk of the bank, as well as the compliance reporitng to internal and external parties.

Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following:

  • To assist in the oversight of the 5 sub branches on compliance matters  
  • To liaise with LCOs to ensure that appropriate compliance reportings are carried out and issues are followed up and resolved
  • To handle regular and ad hoc reporting requirements with the help of other LCOs and assist in the communication with our head office in Chinese when necessary
  • to handle and coordinate compliance reporting requirements from all departments of the Bank such as quarterly training records, new staff compliance training (within the month) and quarterly compliance report from English to Chinese
  • to participate in the implementation of head office procedures in terms of connected transactions, ERA, internal transactions and process relating to the management of rules and regulations
  • to cover for the work of other Compliance work colleagues in times of need eg: during leaves and sickness
  • to provide support to CCO on Legal and Compliance matters as necessary

 

     

    Qualifications

    Profile (Technical Skills):

    • University graduate in relevant fields eg. Accounting, finance, law.
    • Fluent in Chinese and English
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in compliance or relevant field
    • Good communication skills including report writing
    • Good knowledge on computer systems eg word and excel
    • Analytical mind and ability to synthesize
