Objectives

Optimization of procurement processes, significant cost reductions for all materials used in our

production chain, establishment of frame contracts for goods / services used by our group companies,

regular assessment of key suppliers in Asia

Tasks:

• responsible for the management, administration, and supervision of the company’s acquisition

programs

• in charge of the contracting services
• responsible to source goods and services, and to negotiate prices and contracts
• supervising the purchase of supplies, equipment, and materials within the Asian region
• negotiating with vendors to get the best prices and deals, utilizing the power of purchase and the

economies of scale

• constantly in search of better quality products and better prices and second sources
• maintaining relations with suppliers and supporting Group entities’ purchasing depts.
• supervising that goods and services are promptly delivered and making sure vendors are paid in a

timely manner

• setting up contracts between vendors and the company / group respectively (frame contracts)
• cooperating with the accounting department to ensure that invoices are correctly accounted for

(allocation to CC, account nr. etc.) and vendors are paid on schedule

• supports Finance Manager / MD in defining current inventory levels and foresees future needs of the

company / group

• supports intercompany projects / activities and reports to the Group Management (GM) on a regular

basis (e.g. quarterly)

• prepares regular performance reports to the attn. of GM (e.g. total volume of material purchases vs.

achieved savings, substitution of materials by cheaper resources etc.)

Personal Profile:

• Experience in international procurement
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills

Must have:

• min. 10 yrs of practical experience in a comparable position in the industrial environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Experience in component business of one of the big player in the electronic industry would be ideal
• Bachelor or Master Degree in BA or SC or equivalent
• proven track record of achieved savings
• proficient with modern ERP systems as a user
• in-depth knowledge of all relevant MS programs
• willingness to intensive travelling activities around the world
• ready to provide high level results under pressure

Additional requirements:

• Knowledge of Asian languages an asset
• Industry working experience in precision metal stamping and/or plastics molding is a plus
