MAIN PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND OF THE POSITION
This is a 1-year Contract role and is dedicated in the area of insurance procurement. The position will manage projects with high spend, high risks and business critical services

The procurement team will be part of the COO professional family and this position will report into the Head of Procurement.

KEY SCOPE

Lead and support projects in the following category scope of Insurance Procurement mainly in P&C (i.e. Property and Casualty):

• Claims legal services
• Quantity surveyor
• Loss adjuster
• Healthcare and rehabilitation services

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Projects

• Proactively understand, collect and demand manage business needs so that this can be translate this into category strategies for delivery and implementation
• Define procurement timelines, critical paths and next steps across all 4 pillars of scope.
• Provide support in reviewing legal documents and negotiate any business and non-business terms and conditions to provide advise to stakeholders project sign-off
• Demonstrate procurement value wherever possible across the 4 key pillars

  • Market Intelligence
  • Risk and Compliance
• Explore opportunities process automation to bring efficiency
• Work together with various control functions and business partners

KEY BUSINESS PARTNERS

• Local: Head P&C claims, legal and compliance
• Group/Region-wide: Insurance procurement category managers from Italy, Spain, UK, Singapore and Malaysia etc.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• University graduate with minimum 8+ years experience in Procurement (hands-on sourcing with strategic thinking and contract management experience), preferably in insurance or health care management similar discipline
• Excellent communication and influencing skills in English. Local
• Good time management skills, proactive and with a "can do" spirit
• Sound understanding of legal requirements for tendering, contract management
• Excellent negotiation experience and skills
