The appointee will work with faculty members and teaching assistants in the Information Systems area in the Department to redesign and prepare new teaching materials for their undergraduate/taught-postgraduate courses, e.g. on IT management, big data and business analytics, programming, system analysis and design, digital business strategy, etc. The appointee will take the initiative in course design planning to define the scope and focus of the courses, identify the best teaching pedagogy and instruction modes, and create and prepare necessary course materials, including visual presentation aids, animation tools, online videos, and assignment and project designs, that help achieve the best learning outcomes. He/She will be responsible for managing the course revamps, from planning, scheduling, implementation to review, to ensure the intended revamp objectives are effectively attained. The appointee may also be required to work with course instructors to design online learning materials for a blended-learning or pure online course.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in computing or information technology-related disciplines with relevant experience of 8 years or above. The appointee should be proficient in using office utility software and general productivity tools. Knowledge and experience in instructional content design, including creation of professional visual and presentation materials, are a must. Experience in preparing online learning content and conducting online classes will be an advantage. Project management experience is a plus. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
