Position Overview & Summary:

The Industrial Designer is responsible for developing the look, feel and how our products are presented to our customers and vendors. You will work with our vendors and internal teams to ensure that our product vison is communicated and maintained by our vendors. You will participate in collaborative work to translate high-level product requirements to low-risk designs that meet product form-fit-finish, and performance and reliability metrics.

The Industrial Designer role includes generating product concepts and renderings based off discussions with product managers and the executive team. You will further refine these concepts and develop 3D surface files that our vendors can use to develop and manufacture product. You will review and comment on 3D files submitted from vendors and ensure they meet the brands design language and attributes. You will also use your skills to produce high quality photo realistic images for packaging and presentation.

Candidate must possess a unique blend of design and engineering savvy, have a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. Candidate must be able to communicate with all areas of the company and our OEM factories. This person will be tasked with working closely with; CSL’s, project managers and other strategic partners to execute our overall product vision and articulate our requirements to our internal and external partners to deliver products that are effective, reliable, and easy to manufacture.

Responsibilities:

Product Design

? Develop the industrial Design of the products.

? Review competitive products for trends.

? Work with the various department on designs on conceptual renderings of new products by hand and/or computer.

? Develop photo realistic 3D renderings of products.

? Integrate and develop a design language in all product lines.

? Communicate with cross functional teams.

? Produce CMF (Color/Material/Finish) documents.

? Review and evaluate 3D CAD files from our vendors.

Requirements

? Minimum 5 years’ experience within the CE industry.

? Produce conceptual renderings of new products by hand and/or computer.

? Strong sense of style and trends with a keen understanding of manufacturing processes.

? A self-starter capable of organizing self and others. Ability to pay a great deal of attention to detail with a laser sharp focus on quality results.

? Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

? Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills. Project Management experience a plus.

? Detail oriented with excellent follow up and time management skills.

Qualifications:

? Candidates must have strong sketching ability.

? Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365).

? Multi-tasking capabilities, fast learner, flexible and cool under pressure.

? BA/MA degree in Industrial Design and/or Mechanical Design.

? Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design).

? Keyshot

? SolidWorks, ProE, Auto CAD, Rino

? Sketchbook Pro

? 3D Studio

? High level written and spoken English, can communicate with global colleagues independently.
