Indirect Material Warehouse Manager

Location:江门

Managing indirect materials (excluding raw materials & W&IL’s scope) warehouses team that is responsible for performing accurate good receipt, good issue, inventory management and respective logistics. The XXX team works for JUC1 & JUC2.

As JUC SS IMW manager:

  • Build XXX vision, goals and strategy that align with RBM SS and working within the RBM ROCE strategy and environment.
  • Develop organizations of IMW and relevant personnel.
  • Create and Maintain standardization of procedures and policies as well as supporting local SS organizations where needed.

Meet all relevant stakeholders’ needs in timely manner.

Main responsibilities:

Logistics & Warehouse

  • Responsible for the conception and implementation of short, mid and long-term strategy for JUC IMW team and creating a good balance between standardized procedures and local flexibility.
  • Responsible for setting yearly team objectives in line with overall strategy and reaching set targets.
  • Responsible for yearly team budget.
  • Creation of cost savings through standardization in inventory management, optimization of processes, improved warehousing,…
  • Monitor goods receipts and good issues matching with contracts/POs and JUC policies.
  • Support JUC SS for rating of vendors of JUC in view of JUC SS strategy of standardization of materials and vendors and protection of product, process & equipment IP.
  • Setting up and maintaining indirect materials warehouse procedures for JUC in alignment with RBM and corporate procedures and policies.
  • Follow up of personnel performance and defining necessary training needs.
  • Support all respective audits for different purposes.
  • Keep clear record and inventory movement with accuracy.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to execute warehouse functions.
  • Support to define the right inventory levels & (re-)ordering parameters.
  • Management of the warehouse, the goods, and the buildings;

° Inventory management.

° Organizing the goods receipt flow.

° Organizing the yearly and intermediary stock counts.

° Proposing improvement ideas concerning the optimization of the warehouse and working methods, and implementation after validation.

° Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

° Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

  • Leading the warehouse team;

° Organizing the warehouse activities and task allocation.

° Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees.

° Drawing up the vacation schedule.

  • Safeguarding the adherence to procedures and proposing improvement actions;

° Creating working procedures for the warehouse.

° Taking measures to stock the articles in optimal circumstances.

° Supervising the adherence to procedures.

  • Safety, cleanliness, respect for the environment;

° Reporting of a (near-)accident

° Together with the direct manager, a yearly safety plan should be established

° Performing risk analyses.


  • Reporting to JUC Support Service Manager;

° Responsible for timely reporting to JUC SS manager and respective hierarchies.

° Responsible tasks assigned by JUC SS manager.

° Support JUC SS Manager in setup of JUC procedures and standardization regarding logistics, transport and warehousing in alignment with RBM strategy general procedures and guidelines and implementation in local Support Service teams.

° Work together with all local Support Service teams to look for optimisation of procedures and workflows in terms of procurement or logistics.

° Support local Support Service teams where necessary

Knowledgeable about all transport requirements (labelling, packing,) both national and international and responsible for setting up necessary internal procedures to adhere to these requirements as well as training personnel.

Functional requirements:

Bachelor degree.

At least 5 years working experience in same fields.

Good that have experience working in an operational/ industrial environment.

Knowledge of basic HR and basic accounting and procurement is a plus

Good communication and organization skill.

Know well Office software

Experience in SAP is preferred.
