Goal of position

The IT Technician is responsible for all the HW installed in the MAN ES Shanghai. That’s means he/she is responsible for:

• Servers (Installation Operating system, antivirus, Network configuration, data back-up, recovery procedure)
• Hardware (PC, WS, Laptop, Printers, Fax, Other network items)
• LAN
• Other IT systems (Time Stamp, Access Control ,CCTV, Meal Management…)
• WAN
• Phone system administration

The IT Technician must assure that all the HW installed in MAN ES Shanghai premises is MAN standards compliant.

• PC installation
• User Management
• Pinter and other LAN apparatus management
• Back-up and restore
• Server maintenance
• Procurement
• Training new employee
• Settle the IT technology document
• Support for other IT system (such as time stamp ,access control )

Competences/skills

• General skills

• Team player to communicate with users in SHA and understand their needs and provide suitable solutions
• Good project management skills to support and organise projects
• Self-contained and well organised to manage the daily business as
• Team player to communicate and deal with colleges in Changzhou as well as with external companies in China
• Fluent in oral English

• Technical skills

• Very good know how on Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
• User account management within the active directory
• Operate and manage the printer environment
• Operate the user helpdesk as an interface between user and IT
• Very good know how of a Microsoft Server environment (specially Windows 10 and 2012 Server)
• Very good know how of a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environment such as user administration, security policies and permissions
• Very good know how on Microsoft Windows Client operating systems (specially Windows 10 )
• Responsible for the server room that the equipment is up and running (such as server monitoring, air-conditioning, fire security, fire observe equipment, room access)
• Know how on Data Backup systems and Storage systems
• Good know how in the network basic infrastructure (LAN) such as Ethernet, cabling, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP
• Understanding of the existing security policies and restrictions within the MAN ES
• Understanding of the existing MAN Net WAN topologies and firewall systems
• Be familiar with Cisco Routers and Switches will be better
