Job Role and Responsibility

  • Work with the R&D leads in order to complete the “as-is” inventory of the software, licenses, databases and equipment currently installed in each of the company sites
  • Support the Team to define a strategy regarding licenses and vendors consolidation
  • Establish and standardize the R&D software setup procedures for all the BU’s & labs
  • Work with the IT Infrastructure Team to define a procedure for managing equipment, including new equipment introduction, movement, security aspects and backup
  • Coordinate with R&D, Product/Process Engineering teams to maintain knowledge on all licensing changes
  • Work with R&D team to provide budget for new licenses, new users, etc.
  • Responsible for Jira 2nd and 3rd level response as part of a Global Services team
  • Ownership of complex Project lifecycle tasks (Workflow, Permission Scheme, Roles)
  • Jira user management including onboarding and offboarding, knowledge base maintenance
  • Atlassian tools upgrades, backups, DR activities (Server)
  • Coordination with other internal teams to provide complete coverage for all Atlassian tools including Confluence, Jira and integrations with Identity Management tools and products
  • Communicate and share knowledge, including User Training
  • Document and continually improve tools and processes
  • Off-hours support and escalations as part of on-call rotation
  • Perform basic Linux administration tasks (services, ssh, filesystems, permissions)
  • Create and manage requests for Dashboards, Filters, Custom Fields
  • Proactively monitor Atlassian product releases and security updates, coordinate and apply patches as required

Required skills and background

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills as the candidate will be working with the global team
  • Capability to collaborate with heterogeneous Teams across the sites
  • Some familiarity with the most common R&D software (SolidWorks, LabView, Matlab, etc.) and license management
  • Basic knowledge of the most common DB’s (Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, MySQL)
  • Project management and DBA skills
  • Experience in architecting, designing and developing enterprise and cloud-scale products using modern technologies and frameworks
  • 3-5 years of experience with Jira
  • Understand Atlassian user security (Group/User, Roles, Schemes)
  • Some familiarity with MySQL/ JQL/AWS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
